Pilgrimage

A pilgrimage is a journey or search of great spiritual significance. Members of every major religion participate in pilgrimages. The pilgrimage sometimes take a person to a sacred place or shrine of importance to a person's faith.

Every other year, the Chaplains take students on a pilgrimage that emphasizes our spiritual journey, and the other years, the emphasis is upon Christian service.

Plans for 2008 are for a Service Pilgrimage and for 2009, our next spiritual pilgrimage.

Sr. Jennifer Horner, Chaplain, at the University of Indianapolis has written about her pilgrimage to Taizé, France, in “Keep Walking: An Invitation to Pilgrimage.” It is available by clicking on the link below.
