Welcome to McCleary Chapel Ministries!

Welcome to the McCleary Chapel Ministries webpage. Here at the University of Indianapolis, we hope that all students, faculty and staff are offered opportunities to grow in our faith as we learn and grow together. The university years are exciting and fun and also challenging. One of the gifts that we are able to give one another is the sharing of our faith understandings. We can deepen our own sense of meaning and purpose as we witness the practices of the faiths of others, and as we practice our own. These are all important dimensions of our university experience.
McCleary Chapel is the religious center of our campus. There, throughout the academic year, various religious groups have worship, devotional, and spiritual formation activities. Plus, the Chapel is open whenever the Schwitzer Student Center is open, and you are welcome to come in for some quiet time of prayer and reflection.
We are excited about all the activities planned for the 2008-09 year. There will be opportunities for worship, devotion, praise, justice and compassion activities. There are times of fellowship, and chances to step up and grow in your own leadership skills. Be sure and look carefully at the McCleary Chapel Ministries brochure that you will find in your student mailbox and around campus at the beginning of the school year. We encourage you to get involved and be an active part of the ministries offered!
Our Student Leadership Team is made up of five incredible upperclass students who help envision and implement our campus ministry programming. They are:

Ryan Brock – Worship
Radcliffe Ganda – Justice
Suzanne Juncker – Devotion
Michelle Stephens – Compassion
Together, they help lead other students on the journey of faith through the many fun events and programs of McCleary Chapel Ministries. Get to know them! They are a great team of Christians who will be good friends and mentors! You’ll get to hear their voice on this page each month, as they will take turns writing a ‘blurb’ to let you know what they’re doing during the semester.
So, again, welcome to UIndy and the McCleary Chapel Ministries here at UIndy! We want you to feel right at home and to get involved. Why? Because we look forward to meeting and getting to know you. And, we know that you want to keep your faith alive and growing during your UIndy years. We’ll be here with you on the journey!
